Among the typical jams of Abruzzo we find the mandarin orange jam, made with the pulp of the fruit, with the peel and with the juice of the grapes. This product mixes the sweet and consistent grape with the bittersweet tangerine, with a caramel scent; black cherry jam with an intense red color towards purple which is the color of the fruit's skins, with a slightly bitter taste; plum jam, dark with a sweetish flavor; the orange marmalade which, thanks to the fruits with which it is made, has a high nutritional power, is a little bitter but also fragrant, the oranges used are harvested mainly in the Ortona and Fossaccesia area, and resembles English marmalade.
We also find quince jam which is boiled with grape juice which then releases a smell of must and almond into the product; and the particular melon and apricot jam, typical of summer, fragrant, is produced only with locally grown fruit and you can add juniper and grape juice, which make it slightly balsamic and help to enhance the flavor of the apricot and melon
