Fontefico - Organic farming entirely produced with native vines only

Fontefico is an organic farm that exclusively cultivates native vines and produces wines on the Gulf of Vasto. In this corner in the extreme south of Abruzzo, the Pecorino, Trebbiano and Montepulciano vines are permeated by the constant salty wind of the Adriatic Sea, which characterizes the Fontefico wines for their great flavor and minerality. Each wine comes from a single and specific vineyard, so each of them has its own identity.

Pecorino Superiore is "la canaglia", because the vineyard is spiteful and does not allow itself to be tamed, but is then forgiven with a superlative wine.

Trebbiano Superiore is the "Portarispetto", because this vine has seen many in the course of its history, used too often only to produce so many grapes. Yet, welcoming its grapes with love and respect, is able to tell our land with a special charm.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the “Cocca di casa”, because after all this remains the favorite grape, the one of which one is most proud in these parts.

And so on… each vineyard and therefore each wine has its own personality, represented on the label in a different way year after year, to tell an anecdote of that specific harvest and the story of Fontefico. A story that speaks of territory and authenticity.
