For over eight centuries the peasants of the Navelli plateau have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of L'Aquila saffron with sacrifice and passion. A microclimate particularly favorable to the development and growth of the plant, combined with the geomorphological characteristics of the soil, give back a product of rare excellence, known and appreciated all over the world, registered in the European PDO register since 2005.

Symbol of a common identity, L'Aquila Saffron has always represented an extraordinary resource for the economic development of the L'Aquila area. The primary characteristic of its cultivation is subsistence, within which values ​​such as cooperation, solidarity, sharing have also represented elements of social cohesion. Quality that has always been in the possession of companies that today choose to come together under a single brand, working side by side on a common growth project to be shared with the entire territory.

United Saffron Producers, this is the name chosen by the nascent cooperative set up with the intention of developing synergies with other regional realities, relaunching the production of the precious spice symbol of the whole Abruzzo.
