Fattoria La Valentina - an adventure that began in 1990
Fattoria La Valentina was born in 1990, in the municipality of Spoltore, on the hills near Pescara. Since 1994, after some changes between partners, it is we, Sabatino, Roberto and Andrea Di Properzio, who have bought the entire company. Between the vines and the cellar, our work in close contact with nature begins. And its fruits. After the first years of study on the Santa Teresa vineyard, the passion for the search for quality and the desire to enhance the Abruzzo DOCs have taken over, becoming the main objective of the company. We began to understand our land better by taking care of it and respecting it.
The result? Wines that are qualitatively healthier and more authentic. Animated by the certainty that the real qualitative improvement must take place in absolute respect of the biological balance, season after season, we have rigorously applied a philosophy that leaves aside the unbridled use of chemistry and technology. In short, we have set ourselves to intervene as little as possible in the processes of nature, sharing the idea that “the presupposition of the Doc is the sign of the vine on its own grape”. Ours is a work that allows the vine to express itself, guarantees the maintenance of the fertility of the earth, helps to make plants healthy so that they can independently resist diseases and parasites.
The wines of Fattoria La Valentina are produced by nature through the uniqueness of our terroirs, which we try to respect even in the bottle. This is the secret of their originality. The microclimate, the soil linked to well adapted vines, return wines with a marked and unique character. Wines that speak of places and crops, which arise from the sum of many small details and from the passion we put into it every day. Authentic wines. This is another reason why La Valentina has chosen 100% to adhere to the principles of sustainable development and to consider the environment and sustainability as factors of competitiveness. The training of all employees to carry out their duties responsibly towards the environment and the continuous monitoring of the company's compliance with the principles of sustainable development are elements for constantly improving the company's socio-environmental policy and performance, which is also our family. This is another reason why La Valentina has chosen 100% to adhere to the principles of sustainable development and to consider the environment and sustainability as factors of competitiveness.
