Camphor essential oil

The essential oil of camphor is extracted from Cinnamomum camphora, a plant belonging to the Lauraceae family.

It has an anti-inflammatory action for muscle pains, bruises and sprains when mixed with vegetable oils in massages; it invigorates in case of fatigue because it acts on the circulatory system and prevents venous problems and lymphatic stagnation; it has a balsamic effect if inhaled, decongesting the respiratory tract and eliminating phlegm.

It also has an anti-parasitic effect: its use helps to keep insects such as moths, gnats and flies away.
