Giardino Officinale - Where nature and man meet

Born from the passion of the family of Filippo and Antonella, the "Giardino Officinale" farm is located on the "hill of the ant", a few kilometers from the Adriatic, on the way to the Gran Sasso d'Italia, in the Vomano Valley in Propezzano by Morro D'Oro. From a family of peasant origins for several generations, what is now a small jewel of the valley was born.

It was in 1986 that the small family business was called by Filippo "Officinal Garden", a twenty-four year old industrial expert, researcher and enthusiast of plants and in particular of officinal herbs, who became heir to work and farmer for a choice of life. Already at the time the company showed itself almost at the forefront by approaching organic agriculture and introducing medicinal plants into cultivation. The Officinal Garden initially counted about three hundred herbaceous and perennial shrub varieties, cultivated for culinary, liqueur, medicinal and essence-industrial interest.

Today the company cultivates medicinal plants in the field and carries out subsequent initial processing, has a nursery in greenhouses of aromatic and medicinal herbs in pots, deals with the cultivation of native variety cereals, manages a demonstrative botanical garden for school activities on the farm and tourism rural.
