Tieri Beekeeping - A Tale that begins ninety years ago

We are a family that has always made an art of honey. We have always lived in Tornareccio, the village of stone and art where Abruzzo beekeeping was born, and where the founder of the company was born: Argito Di Vincenzo, known as Gino, who in the last century gathered a swarm of bees in Termoli , locked him up in a jute sack and took him to town, starting a long and adventurous story. It was 1930 and our company was taking its first steps.

Today Nicola and Giovanna, the children Federico with Marta, and Mariella, with the same passion as always, continue this story. “My grandfather left me a dream in a jute sack” says Nicola. That dream is reality. More beautiful and precious than ever. Our organic world After all, we at Apicoltura Tieri have always made honey "organic": we have always selected clean flowers and crops, we have always looked for the most exciting landscapes of our beautiful Italy. And we have always raised our bees according to the laws of nature alone, certain of the extraordinary nature of their ecosystem. We have always done it this way because these have always been our principles: respect for the environment, sustainability, biodiversity, creativity, preservation of ancient knowledge, friendship with the territory, centrality of the family. The same principles at the origin of our forty-year affiliation to Conapi, the largest national cooperative of beekeepers in Italy, with 259 individual or collective companies, and over 600 beekeepers.

Today what we have always done is also certified: organic honey in its essence and now also in form. As the law says: we do not use any chemicals in the care of bees, we position the apiaries near organic cultivation and at least 3 km away from potential sources of pollution, we scrupulously take care of the entire supply chain to avoid the onset of pathologies and therefore avoid treating them with synthetic products, but exclusively with natural ones such as organic acids and essential oils, found in nature, in flowers and plants. And with honey, we offer you other excellences that we seek, study, combine: those that our rich and colorful territory offers. As hounds, we go in search of the best, but above all of people who understand food like us. Friendships are born, and innovative products are born, which we offer alongside many other goodies that arise from the same passion and the same principles throughout Italy: good, fair, clean food.
