Cirelli Organic Farm

The sea is only 8 km away. All around, hills, vineyards and olive groves draw unprecedented paths in the Abruzzo landscape of Atri, which surrounds the farm. National parks, crops, woods and gullies suggestive and spectacular geological phenomenon await you with the silences and rhythms of this Abruzzo suspended in time and space. Cirelli is an IMC certified organic farm (document n. 3194 RV.01), surrounded by 22 hectares of land.

All its production revolves around respect for natural cycles, relating to olive groves, vineyards, fruit and vegetable crops and animal breeding. The rotation of crops, the rest of the land, the fertilization and grazing of animals in the wild are some fundamental steps in the process of producing wine in amphora, oil, vegetables, exceptional quality fruit and meats. The company cultivates and produces in full respect of organic agriculture. Nature dictates the rules and is the principle of every activity: - the rotation of crops, which allows the soil to rest and regenerate nutrients; - natural fertilization, which takes place through the grazing of animals. The action of the animals guarantees herbicide and fertilizing effects without having to resort to any harmful chemical substance.

The production cycle is divided into the sowing of wheat, barley, spelled and alfalfa for the first year. The following year the land is instead compulsorily cultivated with vegetables. In the third and fourth years, plants such as sunflowers are chosen, whose shrubs, once the seeds have been harvested, are buried and rot, yielding precious substances to the soil.
