Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc - Sunnae
This product, made for the first time since the 2004 vintage to complete our range of red wines based on Montepulciano grapes, has a pleasant acidity, with notes of fresh fruit, "easy to drink" and pairing, even if the body and the structure nevertheless remain important.
To obtain this result we first selected and then used grapes from cooler and more vigorous soils, slightly increasing yields. The bunches are harvested by hand and undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration, in a CO2 atmosphere, for about 18-24 hours. Fermentation takes place by limiting the temperature to no more than 26 - 27 ° C with frequent pumping over of small volumes of liquid in order not to spoil the marc too much. The maceration phase of the marc lasts about 8 days, as a result of the seasonal trend. The refinement lasts one year and takes place in cement tanks vitrified with food resin.
