Feudo Antico - Custodians of the territory
We go further to innovate, preserve and regenerate the territory and its crops. New winemaking techniques and experimentation on native vines: the primary objective is to preserve and safeguard the land that hosts us.
The headquarters of Feudo Antico was born today near an ancient Roman villa. This is how we celebrate our wine project, a journey that began in 2004 that has its roots in a millenary tradition. A journey started in 2008 that led us to the recognition, in 2019, of the Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin: DOCG Tullum, one of the smallest denominations in Italy, a real project for the election of the Tollese territory. An in-depth investigation of the soils, microclimate and rootstocks has given each wine its own particular origin. We cultivate our vineyards in the name of sustainability and compliance with the DOCG Tullum disciplinary. The planting density must not be less than 1,600 plants / hectare for the Abruzzo pergola and 4,000 plants / hectare for the rows. The vinification and bottling must take place in the area and grapes from the vineyards in the valley or located at an altitude of not less than 80 m above sea level are excluded.
