Cococciola IGT Pescaresi Hills
The Cococciola is an exclusive grape variety from Abruzzo and some area of northern Puglia, of unknown origins, it was first reviewed in Abruzzo by two French ampelographers in 1900.
The grape was rediscovered and re-evaluated in the late 90s. The main characteristics reside in the great acidity and low PH values that make it very suitable for sparkling winemaking and the production of still white wines with a marked freshness and notable citrus notes (Pink grapefruit)

Plant density: 1600 stumps / ha
Harvest: Manual, generally in the first days of October.
Vinification: Preparation of the pied de cuve a few days before harvest, white vinification at a controlled temperature.
Aging: In steel on the fine lees, bottled before the summer.
Alcohol: 12%.
