Bakan Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc Riserva Biologico
Cantine Torri, precisely in the Ancarano and Controguerra area, in the province of Teramo, from a fifty-year-old vine, at an altitude of 290 meters above sea level and with a splendid south-south / east exposure, have given life to the Bakán DOC Riserva. 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes, harvested manually in the second decade of October, in a farm in Pergola Abruzzo and from certified organic farming.
It is vinified in temperature-controlled steel vats and at the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine will rest in concrete tanks for 6 months, and then mature in used barriques for a further 12 months and refine in the bottle for at least another 6.
Color: An impenetrable ruby red robe, caressed by a very delicate garnet hue.
Nose: In the variegated and intense olfactory picture, the hints of ripe blackberry, sour cherries and mulberry stand out, with delicate hints of undergrowth in the finish.
Taste: The taste is soft and elegant, black cherry, cherry, wild berries, surrounded by a nice freshness and silky tannins on the palate, well balanced by a warmth and softness that do not disturb the pleasant drink. A persistent, spicy and pleasantly bitter finish.
Harvest: Born in one of the most suitable areas of Abruzzo, from an ancient vineyard raised in Tendone, at an ideal altitude to ensure a formidable temperature range and with a magnificent exposure. A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC obtained from a strictly manual harvest in mid-October of certified organic farming, which ensures the utmost respect for the surrounding environment.
Vinification: A vinification in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by a malolactic fermentation, a maturation of 6 months in concrete tanks, then 12 months in barriques, to be bottled in the total absence of oxygen and refined for another 6 months.
Pairings: It takes time to reveal itself, therefore we recommend opening it before tasting, at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees, with a large glass and a wide rim. Excellent with well-structured and tasty dishes: aperitifs, appetizers, first courses, vegetarian foods, red meats and medium and long-aged cheeses. Cured meats, pappardelle with meat sauce, garganelli with walnut and celery sauce, stuffed beef rolls or Castel del Monte Marcetto pecorino.
