Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc - Chronicon
Zaccagnini's Montepulciano Chronicon is a young but lively interpretation of the main Abruzzo grape. It presents itself to the eye with a ruby red with light garnet nuances and releases notes of black cherries, raspberries and an interesting note of graphite, with balsamic puffs on the nose. On the palate it is rich and fresh, convivial, with excellent freshness and intense tannins.
Zaccagnini's “Chronicon” Abruzzo red is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that is truly a pleasure to find on the laid table. The drinkability, harmonious and smooth, makes the combination with different dishes of the Italian culinary tradition pleasant, while the nose releases typically varietal aromas, which define the essential traits of the DOC to which it belongs. A label that will captivate you right away and that, also considering the interesting price with which it is offered, deserves space in the cellar of red wine lovers made in central Italy.
The "Chronicon" is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that comes from 100% Montepulciano grapes, grown by Zaccagnini with great care and attention to detail. The harvest, strictly manual, selects the best bunches, which after being cut from the vine are immediately transported to the wine-making rooms of the cellar, to keep all their qualities and freshness intact. After de-stemming, soft pressing is carried out and the subsequent fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, macerating with the skins. A brief aging follows both in steel tanks and in wooden vats, at the end of which we proceed with the bottling operations.
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo “Chronicon” reveals itself to the eye with a classic color, which recalls the notes of ruby, crossed by light reflections more tending to garnet. The nose exhibits a fruity business card, embellished with a light touch of graphite and slight more balsamic shades. On the palate it is medium-bodied, characterized by a juicy and refreshing sip, which flows on the palate with great naturalness. A label that was born in the light of the three fundamental concepts that we find at the basis of Zaccagnini's production: quality, territoriality and expressiveness.
