Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Dop - Patch Wine
From 100% Montepulciano grapes.
Origin of the vine: Montepulciano is a native vine of central Italy, particularly widespread in the Marche and Abruzzo. His native land seems to be Torre de 'Passeri in the province of Pescara, as evidence of this there are several documents dating back to 1700.
Area: Hills of Chieti - Slopes of Maiella
In Vigna: Calcareous soil with vineyard age of 20-25 years
Altitude and Exposure: Orsogna 432 m asl
Training system: Pergola Abruzzese
Harvest: Manual
In the Cellar: Unlike normal vinification, it is not necessary to reach complete phenolic maturity, so it is better to rely on technological maturity in order to obtain the desired sugar content and the right acidity. The grapes are vinified in 'white'. Fermentation with certified organic yeasts is carried out at a controlled temperature.
Alcohol content: 13%
Tasting: Intense and brilliant cherry pink color, fruity with a marked olfactory presence of red fruit such as raspberries and pomegranates, flavor and tannic sensation give great vitality to the wine.
Pairing: Perfect to accompany appetizers, fish and legume soups, traditional Italian first courses and white meats. We also find it perfect with pizza!
