Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc - Cocciapazza
It bears the old name of the area where our vineyards are planted, as it wants to be the maximum expression of typicality. The gradual harvests, usually three per year, are in this case carried out in the parts of the vineyard which enjoy the best soil and climatic conditions, and which are therefore capable of giving the most mature and complex wines.
Grapes: Montepulciano 100%
Breeding: Abruzzo pergola
Soil: clayey-calcareous
Vinification: steel
Aging: 20 months in French oak barriques
Alcohol: 14%
Serving temperature: 18-20 ° C
Organoleptic examination: Deep and dense ruby red, with violet reflections in youth. The characteristic red fruit of Montepulciano, particularly large and ripe, is in balance with the spiciness of black pepper and licorice, and is embellished with typical balsamic, chocolate and tobacco notes. Good structure and volume in the mouth, with well present but soft and evolved tannins, and with the acid freshness typical of the area of origin, which makes it pleasant and never heavy to drink. Perfect with a good rib of beef or with a leg of lamb baked with mountain herbs.
