Rosso Colline Pescaresi Igp - Diecicoppe
An exuberant, young and fresh red. Diecicoppe is a blend of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Cabernet and is expressed in the glass in an explosion of fruits and aromas.
Serving method: Leave the wine to rest for at least 10 days after arrival. In order to grasp all its qualities, uncork the bottle and serve the wine at a temperature of 18 ° C in medium-sized glasses.
Food Pairing: Excellent with red first courses, vegetable and legume soups, lamb, kid and meats cooked with aromatic herbs.
Production area: The vineyards extend in the Municipality of Castiglione a Casauria at 350 m a.s.l. and Pescosansonesco at 550 m a.s.l. The soil is characterized by a loamy-clay matrix, loose, deep, slightly sloping, facing south-east.
Characteristics of the variety: Montepulciano is a native Abruzzese variety. If drunk young it can be astringent due to the not very ripe tannins; cut with Cabernet Sauvignon it remains softer and more pleasant.
Vineyard: 50% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, density of 5200 vines / ha, yield of 120 q / ha, mechanical harvest in the first ten days of October.
Vinification: In red: maceration and fermentation in steel for 6 - 8 days with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 18 - 20 ° C. Spontaneous MLF.
Aging: 3 months in steel and 3 months in bottle.
Sensory Analysis: Ruby red with purple hues, opens with aromas of cherry and blackberry, maraschino and delicate vegetal notes. In the mouth it is very soft, balanced and persistent.
