Red Wine Igt Selection - Malverno
In the vineyard: Montepulciano and Merlot from medium-aged vineyards grown mainly with the guyot system on soils located at an altitude between 350 and 450 m a.s.l.
In the Cellar: The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed and the must with the skins is left to macerate at a temperature of 22/24 ° C for 15/16 days, the Montepulciano is harvested late.
Aging: The Merlot is aged in oak barrels for 6/8 months, the Montepulciano for the same period in stainless steel tanks
Sensory characteristics: Ruby red color with purplish hints, intense nose of red ripe fruit and black cherry jam, slightly spicy. In the mouth it enters soft, warm, intense, with a slightly almond finish, of great structure
Alcohol Content: 14.5% Vol
Serving temperature: 16-18 ° C
