Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Doc Rosarubra
Color: a bright dark ruby red with purple reflections on the edge and a relevant consistency.
Nose: floral scents and red pulp fruit, violet, rose, black cherry, blackberry, plum and a delicate spice of black pepper.
Taste: a full taste, intense but not excessive heat, tones consistent with the nose, combined with notes of cocoa and tobacco. It is dry and with an excellent overall softness, well balanced by an interesting freshness and energetic but reasonable tannins. Good minerality, in a long delicately almond finish.
Harvest: Born in a beautiful area dedicated to viticulture, at an ideal altitude to guarantee an extraordinary temperature range and with a magnificent exposure, from a very old vine grown with a Tendone and Guyot system. A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, obtained from a strictly manual harvest in the first half of October, of certified biodynamic agriculture, which ensures maximum respect for the surrounding environment.
Vinification: A vinification in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by a malolactic fermentation and a subsequent maturation of 6 months in concrete tanks. Afterwards, an aging of no less than 10 months in large oak barrels, before starting an aging of further 6 months in the bottle, in the total absence of oxygen.
Pairings: To be served at 14-16 degrees and possibly with a large glass with a wide rim, always uncorking it a little before serving, so as to allow it to open well and express itself at its best. Perfect on any occasion, it can be enjoyed alone and in company, preferably paired with well-structured and tasty dishes: aperitifs, appetizers, vegetarian dishes, red meats and medium and long-aged cheeses. Let's imagine the classic platter of cold cuts, fettuccine with meat sauce, quiche with four cheeses, a green pepper tagliata or a nice semi-aged Abruzzo pecorino.
