Passerina d'Abruzzo Doc - Ispira
"Ispira" from the Zaccagnini winery is a white wine made from Passerina grapes produced in the Pescarese area and vinified only in steel tanks. The olfactory profile is pleasantly floral, with aromas of acacia flowers, orange blossom and alfalfa and the sip is animated by a powerful savory verve and a nice palatal juiciness. The Passerina "Ispira" from the Zaccagnini winery is a young and pleasant white wine aromaticity produced in Bolognano, on the hills of Pescara, in Abruzzo.
"L'Ispira" is obtained from 100% Passerina grapes from vines grown in the conventional regime, with the Guyot espalier method, on hills facing south-east and characterized by medium-textured alluvial soils. The winery is a family-run business, which has grown very quickly in recent years and today the owner of about 300 hectares of vineyards, which has been able to establish itself on international markets.
"L’inspira" Passerina is produced with grapes harvested in August and brought quickly to the cellar, to keep them fresh and healthy. The bunches are then gently pressed and subjected to cryomaceration to extract all the aromatic properties, and more, from the skins. Then we proceed to vacuum pressing, to extract only the free-run must, cold clarification of the latter and fermentation of only the limpid fraction at low temperature in stainless steel containers. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is decanted into stainless steel containers where it rests for a few months before being bottled and put on the market in the spring following the harvest.
Zaccagnini's Passerina “Ispira” shows an intense straw yellow color with light golden reflections. Aromas of tropical fruit appear on the nose, including pineapple and mango, citrus hints, intense floral notes of white flowers, including broom, acacia and orange blossom and a hint of alfalfa on the finish. In the mouth it is fresh, juicy and satisfying, characterized by a nice sour shoulder and a perfect balance that makes it harmonious and very pleasant.
